The City Council approved the specified project plan for Vantaa light rail
A new plan for the airport terminus will be drawn in 2026. The decision on extending the tram line will be made in 2027.
Northern end of Kuriirikuja will be closed to vehicle traffic starting November 10th 2025
Preparatory works on Kuriirikuja will begin on November 10th. The northern end of Kuriirikuja will be closed to vehicle traffic between Staffaksenkuja and Tikkurilantie. The pedestrian and bicycle route will be redirected to the west side of Kuriirikuja.
The Ratatie P1 park-and-ride facility will be closed at the end of October
The P1 park-and-ride facility located on Ratatie, north of Tikkurila Station, will be closed during the week starting October 27.
Construction of the Vantaa Light Rail begins on 1 December 2025 in Heidehof Park and continues east along Kyytitie
According to the plans, construction of the Vantaa light rail will begin in Heidehof Park and on Kyytitie on December 1. 2025. We will hold a residents’ meeting about the upcoming street works for the light rail at Kuusikko School (Hovitie 11) in October at 18–19 o'clock. Coffee will be served
Construction of the Vantaa Light Rail to Begin on Tikkurilantie in December
According to current plans, construction of the Vantaa Light Rail will begin on Tikkurilantie on December 1st. Work will take place between Puutarhatie and Kielotie, and this section will be gradually taken out of use for vehicular traffic starting in December and continuing through January.
Interruptions to rail traffic will continue in the Tikkurila station
Interruptions to rail traffic will continue in the Tikkurila station Banavbrotten fortsätter vid Dickursby station. Track 1 will be out of use from 27 October to 12 December. Please check the departure platforms of the trains on the station's information displays.

Preparatory works for the Vantaa light rail will begin on Puutarhatie between Tikkurilantie and Peltolantie, and on Peltolantie between Puutarhatie and Osmankäämintie. The works are scheduled to start at the end of September and be completed by early November
