New construction sites for the Vantaa light rail in the Väritehtaankatu area
The construction work for the Vantaa light rail is expanding in the Väritehtaankatu area. Some sections have already been fenced off for site use, and the work will begin with the relocation of municipal infrastructure. Work on the site will take place on weekdays between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m.
Construction sites and access routes for the Vantaa light rail on the Jokiniemi side of Tikkurila Station
The new construction sites are located in the areas around Väritehtaankatu and Jokiniemenkatu. Along Väritehtaankatu, work related to the light rail will begin with municipal infrastructure and foundation construction. On the Jokiniemenkatu side, a dedicated route for construction traffic will be introduced.
Work phases and working hours
The first phase in the area involves relocating municipal infrastructure. After that, the actual earthworks will begin. Please refer to the attached map for the precise locations of the upcoming construction sites and the access routes in their surroundings.
Some phases of the work will generate noise. Noisy work will be carried out on weekdays between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m., and any exceptions will be announced in advance. We apologise for the inconvenience. The work has been commissioned by the City of Vantaa, and the contractor is Destia.
