During construction works on Länsimäentie, a rock formation has been encountered that requires the start of a noisy work phase on 8 January 2026.
In connection with construction works carried out on Länsimäentie, next to Porvoonväylä, bedrock has been encountered. The works in the area are related to water supply infrastructure, which makes rock excavation necessary. Blasting works in the area will begin at the earliest on Thursday, 8 January 2026. According to a preliminary estimate, the works will last approximately five days. Noise-generating blasting works will be carried out intermittently during normal working hours on weekdays at 7–18.
The work area is located close to the Länsimäki dog park. We kindly ask users of the dog park to take the noisy work phase into account when possible while using the park. A map of the area where the noisy works will take place is presented below.
