Construction schedule and noisy work phases

Preparatory work, such as fencing the site and relocating municipal infrastructure, will be carried out on Tikkurilantiein December. New traffic arrangements will take effect after Epiphany on January 7^th, 2026, when we close Tikkurilantie  to through traffic between Puutarhatie and Kielotie. Works will begin on Wednesday, January 7^th, 2026. 

Noisy work phases in the area include piling and sheet piling. Noisy work will mainly be carried out on weekdays Mon–Fri between 7 and 18. Some noisy work will need to be done until 20 on weekdays and, if necessary, on Saturdays from 7 to 18.

In week 2 of 2026, we will carry out traffic arrangements as night work between Liljatie and Talvikkitie. In addition, we will carry out some other work phases as night work, if necessary for traffic or maintenance reasons. Noisy works at exceptional times will be announced separately. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.

Traffic arrangements starting January 7th, 2026

Tikkurilantie will be closed to through traffic between Puutarhatie and Kielotie. Between Osmankäämintie and  Talvikkitie, a driving lane will remain open in both directions. The intersections at Liljatie and Talvikkitie will remain  
open, allowing crossing of Tikkurilantie. The intersection at Kielotie will also remain in use. 

For pedestrians and  cyclists, we will ensure that safe routes remain available. Crosswalks for light traffic will be arranged at regular  intervals along Tikkurilantie. In January, orientation maps will be placed at street-level junctions to guide pedestrians  to temporary crossings.

Bus traffic on Tikkurilantie will be diverted to a detour via Niittytie. Please check route-specific details on HSL’s website.
